Hot Air Balloon Festival

It was a cool Sunday morning, we woke up early and went straight to Clarkfield, Pampanga to watch the 16th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival.

On the way near the entrance gate, a number of vehicles were already piling up causing heavy traffic. As soon as we were inside, just a few meters away from the entrance, we decided to park in the open field across where we had a good view of the said event. Luckily, the balloons were still deflated at that time. In a few minutes later, the pilots begun heating up the balloons, inflating them and were getting ready to fly. Afterwards a colorful scenery unveiled in front of us.

Then one by one the balloons floated up in the air and were carried by the wind.

They glided amidst the cotton-like clouds as the passed by the magnificent Mt. Arayat.

For the finale, the uniquely designed balloons followed, showcasing different themes.

the Pirate in a Barrel

the Barn

the Darth Vader

the Mushroom House

the Snow Man

After the viewing, we treated ourselves for a snack of nachos and ice cream.

We left the place mesmerized with both our eyes and tummy satisfied. Until next time!
