Hundred Islands, Pangasinan

Dreaming of an ultimate island hopping experience? You might consider going to Alaminos, Pangasinan, Philippines, home to the "Hundred Islands National Park". Literally in there seat hundreds of island, although you can only hop on to those with beach area.

To start off, register (get a manifesto), rent a boat (complete with life vest & water gear) & hire a boatman/tour guide. 


and off you go...

hike up the rocky hills of Governor's Island to get a better view...







pick an island (e.g. Old Scout Island) where to have lunch & go swimming/snorkling...
or better yet, just lie down the sand & enjoy the beach...




go inside the cave of Marcos' Island & jump off the cliff straight into the water...


continue island hopping...



last stop: picture taking at Cuenco's Cave




back to the port & dine in at Maxine Restaurant 




order for calamares (squid), their specialty...



Pansit Bihon (noodles)


and Shrimp Sinigang (shrimp stew/soup with sour flavor from tamarind)


... back to reality.


For pasalubong (take home food)

Alaminos - known for their longganisa (spicy pork sausage seasoned with garlic)
Pangasinan - boneless bangus (milk fish), tupig (rice cake with coconut milk wrap in banana leaves)
